When funeral arrangements must unexpectedly be made away from home, Memorial Funeral Home will assist you in any way that we can.

What to Do First

Call the funeral home where the services will be taking place. For example, if someone dies in Florida but wishes to be buried back in Rhode Island, call Memorial Funeral Home at 401-846-0698 day or night. We will then prescreen and help select a trustworthy partner to assist with the services needed in Florida. We will make the necessary arrangements for your loved one to be brought the funeral home for the appropriate preparations for their return to Rhode Island. We will need some basic information from you, and we will ask you to call us upon your return to Rhode Island to set a time for an arrangement conference.
