Joan Rozes, age 94, of Newport died Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Village House Nursing Home of Newport, RI. Mrs. Rozes was born January 10, 1924 in Corinth, Greece. She is the daughter of the late James and the late Maria (Logothetou) Lambou. She was married to George Rozes for 35 years.She is survived by her son, George Rozes Jr., his wife Anna Bongalis Rozes, and her grandson Andrew Rozes of Tallahassee Florida; granddaughter Nina Rozes and her husband Joel Haas of Indianapolis Indiana.Calling hours will be held on Saturday April 7, 2018 from 9am-12pm at Memorial Funeral Home 375 Broadway in Newport, RI.Her funeral service will be held on Saturday April 7, 2018 at 1pm in St. Spyridon Church 390 Thames Street in Newport.Burial will be in Middletown Cemetery, Middletown on Saturday, April 7 at 2:30 pm.We wish to thank the staff of Village House of Newport for their compassionate care over the past two years.
