Karen Biestek

Karen Kannenberg Biestek, 57, of Middletown, R.I., passed away at home Friday afternoon, December 8, 2017 with her family by her side. She was the wife of David Biestek.Born in Glendale, CA, She was the daughter of Carol (Priebe) Kannenberg of Farmington, CT and the late Donald Kannenberg.Karen was a service coordinator for over 25 years at Looking Upwards. Dedicating her career to helping those with physical and mental disabilities.Besides her husband David and mother Carol, She leaves her sons Christopher Biestek (Rachele Silva) of West Warwick, RI and Michael Biestek (Cassie Halton) of Middletown, RI. Karen also leaves her grandchildren Lillian, Kassidy, Tyler and Owen Biestek.She is also survived by her sister Pamela Pappas (Thomas) and brothers Donald Kannenberg, Jr. (Abby), Richard Kannenberg (Nancy) and Thomas Kannenberg (Liz), as well as several nieces and nephews.Karen was the sister of the late Kevin Kannenberg and Kathy Kannenberg.Her funeral service will be on 16 December 2017 at 11:00, with a blessing of her ashes at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Campus, 109 Goodwill Ave. Meriden, CT.The family request that in lieu of flowers to please make a donation in memory of Karen to Looking Upwards, P.O.
