Mikiko Ring, 85, of Middletown, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016 with her family at her side.She was the wife of the late James J. Ring.Born in Kyoto, Japan on March 11, 1931, she is the daughter of the late Yaso and Massa (Yamashina) Hayashi, and the sister of the late Kiyoshi and Hitoshi Hayashi.Mrs. Ring was a central supply technician at Newport Hospital before retiring.She enjoyed crocheting.She is survived by her children, Ann Heines (Rodney Michael) of Rome, NY, James J. Ring, Jr. of Carthage, TN, Paul Ring (Linda Hurley) of Middletown, RI, and George A. Ring III (Susan) of Middletown, RI; her grandchildren, Stephanie Jenkins (David), Natasha Heines (fiance' Jay Hurst), Gregory Ring (Jessica), Patrick Ring (Sarah), and Brittney Ring; seven great-grandchildren; and her former daughter-in-law, Barbara Ring.Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. from Memorial Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway at Vernon Avenue, Newport, RI.
