Violet Alose

Middletown, RI - Violet M. (Aaron) Alose, 85, of Middletown, formerly of Linden, NJ, died Friday, July 25, 2014 at home with her family. She was the wife of the late Lucian W. Alose. Born in Elizabeth, NJ on September 2, 1928, she was the daughter of the late George and Lena (Bower) Aaron. Mrs. Alose was employed for many years in bookkeeping and accounting. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and the arts. She was an active volunteer for 10 years with the Linden Summer Playhouse, a non-profit children's theatre group in Linden, NJ. A loving mother and friend, who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by three sons, Gary L. Alose and his wife Francine of Houston, TX, Thomas G. Alose and his wife Joan of Newport, RI, and Ronald S. Alose and his husband Brian Farley of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, her daughter, Gayle L. Martone and her husband Burt of Chadwick Beach, NJ, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, from 4-7pm in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at 11:00am, at Newport Memorial Park, 123 Howland Avenue, Middletown.
