Edward C. Gurka
Licensed Funeral Director

A funeral service professional since 1984, Mr. Gurka has been a licensed funeral director with our funeral homes since the fall of 1988. He began his career at Curtis J. Holt's Sons Funeral Home in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.
Mr. Gurka resides in Newport and enjoys gardening, having received awards from "Newport In Bloom" for his home landscaping. He also enjoys cooking and utilizing his culinary training from Johnson and Wales. He currently is serving as a member of the Newport Hospital Bereavement Board.
Brian A. Massarotti
Licensed Funeral Director

Working part time at our funeral homes while in high school, Mr. Massarotti returned as a licensed funeral director in1991. He began his professional career at Beachwood Funeral Home, Revere, Massachusetts, and later with the Caparco family at the Hill Funeral Home, East Greenwich, Rhode Island.
Raised in Portsmouth, Mr. Massarotti and his wife Kristel still make their home there. Brian enjoys riding his jet ski at McCorrie's Point Beach with his wife and friends.

Jeff has been involved in funeral service since 1988. He was formerly a funeral director with Lawrence E. Fagan, Jr. Funeral Home in North Kingstown and Peter J. Barrett Funeral Home in Warwick. He lives in Newport with his wife Lissa and is father to four children, Lauren, Matthew, Christopher and Riley. Jeff enjoys riding his motorcycle, traveling and spending time with his family. He is a member of the National Funeral Director's Association and the Rhode Island Funeral Director's Association.
Christopher M. Edenbach
Funeral Director
In 2004, Christopher M. Edenbach, son of Robert S. Edenbach Sr., joined his father and cousin in their funeral homes as a Funeral Director's Apprentice.
In 1996, he received his BA in American Studies and African American Studies from Trinity College, Hartford, CT. After moving to Washington, DC to pursue a career in politics, he received his Masters in Information Systems Development from George Washington University in 2003. Chris graduated in December 2007 with an Associated Degree in Funeral Service from the American Academy McAllister Institute in New York City, NY. Chris received his Funeral Director's license in August of 2008. In his free time, Chris enjoys traveling, sports, music and spending time with his family, friends and golden retriever, Jackson.
