Arthur Amore

Arthur Amore, 87, of Bristol died Sunday, May 28, 2017 at home in Bristol. Mr. Amore was born January 6, 1930 in Providence, RI. He is the son of the late Alberto and the late Antonetta (Giglio) Amore.Arthur was an easy-going man, who was loved by all that he met. He was a rugged man, yet sweet and caring. Arthur enjoyed spending time outdoors smoking, as well as watching the birds and squirrels. He also loved meeting up with his friends at Sip n' Dip enjoying his banana split iced coffee. Arthur was a talented craftsman and enjoyed working with wood. He took pride in his many tattoos and loved to show everyone how his mermaid swam. Arthur loved antiquing and had a large collection of tea pots. He hosted numerous tea parties at his home. Arthur was as animal lover, who worked at the Seacrest Farm stable and spent years working as a local dog walker. Arthur maintained long term employment in the kitchen at the Navy Base. He leaves behind his best friend and roommate, Herbert Raymond, as well as many other friends and acquaintances. Calling hours will be held on Thursday June22, 2017 from 10am-12pm in the Connors Funeral Home 55 West Main Road in Portsmouth, RIBurial will be in St. Josephs Cemetery, West Greenwich immediately following the visitation.
