Bertha Semenec

Bertha (Jung) Semenec, 93, of Middletown passed away peacefully Monday, May 29, 2017 at Royal Middletown Nursing Center of Middletown, RI. She was the wife of the late Antone Semenec. Born in Ludwikow, Poland, Bertha was the daughter of the late Georg and Wanda (Bohl) Jung. Mrs. Semenec worked at Charlton Memorial Hospital for twenty-four years.She leaves her children Christine Peideia and her husband Robert of Portsmouth, RI, Alfred Semenec and his wife Cheryl of Westport, MA and Lillian Bannister of Florida.Bertha is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late Bobby Peideia and Erik Semenec.Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 11:00AM from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30AM in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.
