Alexandria "Sandy" (Wernik) White ,86, of Portsmouth, RI, Passed away on Friday, October 16, 2026, at HopeHealth Hospice Center in Providence, RI. Born on March 16, 1940, In Newport, RI, she was the daughter of the late Allan Wernik and late Julia (Cordeiro) Hay, and grew up in Middletown, RI

Sandy devoted her life to her family and her home. A gifted cook and gracious hostess, she made every gathering and holiday special, and her warmth and humor brightened every room she entered. She had a lifelong love of music and dancing, Above all, she was a loving ,other and proud grandmother whose greatest joy was her family.

She survived by her children, David White of Bristol, RI, Steven White of Sarasota, FL, and Lisa Jacobs of Franklin, TN; her Grandchildren, Michael White, Kent Van Diver, Ryan Van Diver and Sydney White; her Great-Grandchildren, Gabriel and Eli; and her Siblings Allan Kathleen and Romona.

She was Predeceased by her beloved Husband of 63 years, Manuel R White Jr., and her sister, Roberta.

Funeral Services will be held at Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Rd, Portsmouth, RI on Saturday, October 31 at 11am-12pm.
