Alfred Alvin Trenholme

Alfred A. Trenholme, age 74, of Tiverton, Rhode Island, passed away from a brief illness on September 13, 2018, at home.Alfred was born on September 8, 1944, in Fall River, MA to the late Willard A. Trenholme and the late Germaine (Landry) Trenholme. He was the husband of Christine (Bettencourt) Trenholme for over 50 years.Alfred received a MS in Mathematics from SMU and worked in that field at Naval Underwater Systems Center, Newport, RI for many years. In his spare time, he was an avid golfer and sports fan. He especially loved the Patriots, Red Sox and the Bruins. He also loved gardening, puzzle solving and playing poker.Besides his wife, Christine, Alfred is survived by his daughter Cori (Trenholme) Cunningham and her husband Matthew of Lakeville, MA, his son Keith Trenholme and his wife Angela (Mottas) Trenholme of Tiverton, his brother Francis Trenholme and his wife Claudette of Fall River, his grandchildren, Sean Cunningham, Quinn Cunningham, and Emersyn Trenholme, as well as several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his brother Willard T. Trenholme.Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth.His funeral will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018, at 11:00 AM at the Connors Funeral Home.
