Alice T. (Cadieux) Desrosiers, of Middletown and formerly of Lincoln and Central Falls, died peacefully on Saturday, September 1st surrounded by her family. She will be remembered for her loyal heart, unwavering faith and mischievous spirit.
Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Adelard and Rose Anna (Lacroix) Cadieux. Their joyous and hardworking home included her siblings Estelle Bell of Attleboro, MA and the late Raymond Cadieux, Adelard Cadieux, Rita Lavoie and Annette McNeil.
Mrs. Desrosiers built a wonderful life with her husband of nearly 60 years, the late Dr. Robert W. Desrosiers. Together, they raised three children with laughter and love. She was the mother of the late Robert L. Desrosiers. She leaves her son Donald R. Desrosiers and his husband William Dewey of Jamestown, her daughter Elaine D. Hart and her husband Brian of Newport, and her daughter-in-law Eileen Desrosiers of Feeding Hill, MA. She had nine grandchildrenKristin Payson, Aimee Desrosiers (deceased), Nicole Laguerre, Meaghan Mahoney, Michelle Scully, Suzette Desrosiers, Maura Hart, Katie Desrosiers and Libbie Desrosiersand twelve great-grandchildren.
Continuing to work until the age of 89, Mrs. Desrosiers was beloved by employers and colleagues for her work ethic, precision with numbers and of course her wit. She was a medical secretary and office manager for more than 30 years as well as the Bookkeeper for the Market on the Boulevard and the Francis Malbone House both in Newport.
She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality at St. Mathieu Parish in Central Falls. She enjoyed cheering on the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 4th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI. Her funeral will be on Wednesday, September 5th at 8:30 AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM St. Josephs Church, Broadway at Mann Avenue, Newport.
