Ann Almedia

Ann Louise Almedia, 78, of West Warwick, and formerly of Middletown, Rhode Island, died on June 19, 2025. Born in Newport, RI on November 9, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Edward Almeida and Natalie Dennis.

Ann lived most of her life on Aquidneck Island, many years in Portsmouth. She was well known as a school bus driver for the Portsmouth schools for over 21 years. She later moved to Michigan and provided transportation to the Grand Rapids Home For Veterans, retiring after 11 years there. In retirement, she enjoyed Bingo nights, from the Coventry Senior Center to the Anthony House in Portsmouth.

Ann is survived by her children; Barbara Peckham of West Warwick, and William Peckham of Fall River, MA, her step daughter Lillian Soares, her brother Edward Almeida and three grandchildren, William, Chase (Marissa) and Alyssa Peckham, and 2 great-grandchildren; Elliot and Willow.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents and a sister Norma Silvia.
