Ann Arruda, a beloved mother, cherished friend, and remarkable individual, graced this world with her warmth and kindness. Ann was born on June 22, 1949, in Fall River, Massachusetts, and peacefully passed away on July 30, 2026, after a life filled with love, compassion, and devotion to others.

A dedicated professional, Ann spent many years at Newport Hospital, where she served in various roles throughout her career. She worked as a switchboard operator, where her calm and caring voice brought comfort and assistance to countless patients, families, and staff. She also worked in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Department, continuing her commitment to helping others with compassion and kindness. Her dedication and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Ann was the proud mother of her two daughters, Danae Turner and Jenna Green. She was also a loving and devoted grandmother to Kyle Green, Zackary Green, and Kaden Turner, who brought her immeasurable joy and were the light of her life and who will carry forever her spirit in their hearts.

Ann was preceded in death by her mother, Rita Bell.
