Anna Lane

Anna Lee (Greer) Lane, 65, formerly of Middletown, RI, died on March 15, 2024 at Miriam Hospital, Pawtucket. Anna had lived the last 3 years of her life in Oak Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pawtucket.

Born on January 27, 1959 in California. She was the daughter of the late Shirley Montaldo Greer and Earnest Earl Greer, and grew up in Louisiana and Texas.

Anna faced challenges in her life. She was a kind and loving person who found joy in simple things. She enjoyed Motown Music and animated movies. In her younger years she played piano. She was a member of Evangelical Friends Church of Newport, RI. Anna came to Rhode Island in 2005 after being evacuated from New Orleans which had been devastated by Hurricane Katrina. She never returned to Louisiana.

She is survived by her Uncle Roland Fred Montaldo of Plano, TX. Aunt June Cantrell (Melvin), cousin Marchion Calamusa, brother Jerry Wayne Greer, all of Louisiana, and her local friends Gloria and Gertrude.

Burial will be private.
