Anthony Siapno Torio, 81, of Middletown passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday April 2, 2018 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI Mr. Torio was born June 13, 1936 in Dagupan City, Philippines. He is the son of the late Pablo and the late Augustina (Siapno) Torio. He was married to Lucia G (Ventenilla) Torio for 55 years.Anthony proudly served his country for over 20 years in the U.S. Navy.He is survived by his wife: Lucia G (Ventenilla) Torio and three sons: Ron Torio, Anthony Torio and his partner Meg Rich of West Kingston, RI and Michael Torio and his wife Marlene, of Tiverton, RI. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Evan and Addison Torio.Calling hours will be Friday, April 6 from 4-7pm at Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway Newport, RI.His funeral will be held on Saturday April 7, 2018 at 8:00am in the funeral home, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00am in St. Lucy's Church 909 West Main Road in Middletown, RI.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to PKD Foundation1001 E. 101st Terrace Suite 22Kansas City, MO 64131.
