Barbara Alexander

Barbara Alexander, 57, of Tiverton died Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Newport Hospital in Newport, RI. Mrs. Alexander was born August 10, 1958 in Newport, RI. She is the daughter of Joan B. (Houston) Holiday and the late Charles R. Holiday. She was happily married to James Alexander for 31 years. They resided in both Newport and Tiverton and enjoyed the outdoors and loved fishing together.Barbara worked at the Maher Center for 20+ years. Her joy was working with clients in a group home on Jepson Lane where she gave endlessly of her time and love. She is survived by her husband, James Alexander, of Tiverton, her mother Joan B (Houston) Holiday of Portsmouth, her brother, Charles R. Holiday and four sisters, Linda Martineau, Elaine Holiday, Mary Johnston and Rose Holiday. As well as her sisters in law Julie Alan and Sue Alexander and brother in law Alan Alexander. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday May 11, 2016 at 10:00am in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road Portsmouth, RI.
