Barbara Jackson

Barbara (Ruth) Jackson, 95, of Newport, passed away on January 23, 2019, in the Grand Islander Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late George E. Jackson.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Otelia Crump.Barbara leaves her grandchildren Tia Hoff-Nitschelm and her husband Todd of Millis, MA, Steven Hoff of Upper Darby, PA, Eric Hoff, Brandee Hoff, George Hoff III and Jo-Anne Hoff, all of Philidelphia, PA, Kasime Potter and his wife April of Hutto, TX. She was the great grandmother of Tyrus Hoff, Zana Zver, Shaolin Hoff, Mechele Hoff, Shannon Berry, Brandon Whitner, Jason Tindall, Alia Hoff-Brown, Malcolm Nitschelm, Dyani Reid, Cyani Reid, Jaedon Hoff, Nasir Hoff, Kasir Hoff, Kaylee Hoff, Skylar Hoff, Angel Hoff, Kyla Hoff, and Noah Potter.
Barbara was the mother of the late Alice V. Hoff Martin and George S. Hoff Jr.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, in Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church, 31 Van Zandt Avenue, Newport, RI. Her funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM in church. Burial follow at Newport Memorial Park at in Middletown.
