Barbara Jean Hargrow

Barbara Jean Hargrow, 70, of Middletown died Monday, October 9, 2017, at Newport Hospital. Barbara was born March 9, 1947, in Newport, RI, the daughter of the late John R. Jones and the late Frances G. (Whitaker) Batey. Barbara attended the public schools of Newport and worked for many years as a classroom aide at both Coggeshall and Sullivan Schools. Barbara was active in the Foster Grandparent Program and most recently worked for Sodexo at Salve Regina University. Barbara enjoyed cooking for family and friends, loved to entertain, and care for children. Barbara was well known by the nickname "Dolly" which she was given as a child.
