Beatrice C. Shanteler

Beatrice O?Brien Shanteler, 73, of 87 Girard Avenue Newport, died Saturday, April 27, 2002 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI. Born in Waterbury, Vermont on November 2, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Roy Peter and Mildred Fleury Choiniere. Mrs. Shanteler was a Volunteer with the Senior Companions in Newport for four years. She also was the former owner an operator of Bea?s Coffee Pot in Newport. She is survived by two daughters Tina L. Hart and Donna M. Lynch both of Newport, RI, three sons Earl Shedlock of Claremont, NH, Richard O?Brien of Newport, RI and Paul F. Shedlock of Massachusetts, five grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.She was the mother of the late John Paul Shedlock. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2002, at 5:00PM in the Middletown Baptist Church, West Main Road, Middletown.In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Edward King Senior Center, Aquidneck Park, Newport, RI 02840.Arrangements are by the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
