Bernice Gracia

Middletown, RI - Bernice Almeida Gracia, 76, of 558 Green End Avenue, Middletown, RI, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at home surrounded by her family.She was the wife of the late Augustine J. Gracia. Born in Portsmouth, RI on Sep. 29, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Roach Alemida.Mrs. Gracia was a communicant of St. Lucys Church. She enjoyed the theatre, doing ceramics, cooking and spending time with her friends and family. She is survived by her son, J. Michael Gracia and his wife Joanne Bacon Gracia, her daughter, Joanne M. Roggero of Middletown, RI, and three grandchildren, Megan Gracia, Dylan Gracia and Christopher Roggero all of Middletown, RI. Her funeral will be held on Monday, April 27, 2009, at 11:00 am, in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 27, 2009, from 10-11am in the funeral home.Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd., Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886.
