Beryl Anfindsen Lyons

Beryl Barton Anfindsen Lyons , 91, of Newport, RI died Wednesday November 1, 2017. Born in Jersey City, NJ she was the daughter of the late Edward I. and Beatrice Means Anfindsen.Mrs. Lyons grew up in West Orange, NJ and after marriage to the late Robert S. Lyons moved to Livingston, NJ where she raised her family. Beryl was a student at the Traphagen School of Fashion Illustration, graduated from the Academy of St. Elizabeth in 1944 and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from New York University in 1949. Beryl was an employee of Avon Corporation for 36 years.She is survived by her three children. Susan Paglia and her husband James of Middletown, RI, Robert S. Lyons Jr. and his wife Maura of East Harwich, Ma. and Christopher B. Lyons and his wife Susan of Coventry, RI, ten Grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be private.
