Beverly Jean Gair

Beverly Jean (Brow) Gair, 95, of 63 Bourbon Street, Portsmouth, RI died on Sunday, May 3, in Newport, RI.

She was the wife of Alexander Joseph Gair.

Born in Springfield, MA on April 30,1931, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Charles and Helen (Plass) Brow.

Mrs. Gair was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church in Newport. She served as a Girl Scout and Brownie Leader. Beverly was a life member of the Order of Eastern Star, she served as Secretary of the Presbyterian Women's Organization and for 16 years volunteered at the soup kitchen at the church. Mrs Gair was an avid knitter, sewer, crocheter and reader. She enjoyed traveling and Camping.

She is survived by her daughters Janet Ann Gair of Tiverton, RI and Sandra Jean D'Entremont of Barrington, NH, her Grandchildren, Justin Gair Finnegan, Alexandra Carignan, Jennifer Kincaid and Ashley Finnegan and six Great Grandchildren.

She was the sister of the late Janet Marie Gallerani.

Burial will be private.
