With great sadness, the family of Bradley Ryan Lawrence announces his passing on May 10, 2017, in Los Angeles, CA, at the age of 25 after a six-year battle with addiction. Throughout the course of his fight, Bradley attended multiple rehabilitation facilities around the country. On May 3, 2017, he celebrated six months of sobriety. His success inspired aspirations of becoming a drug counselor to help others struggling with addiction. Bradley was born on October 10, 1991, in Newport, RI. He attended Portsmouth High School followed by the Community College of Rhode Island. He played soccer for the Portsmouth Pirates, earned his Arrow of Light in Cub Scouts, and received his junior black belt in karate from Ernie's American Martial Arts in Bristol. Bradley was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He was a music enthusiast and enjoyed playing the drums, skateboarding, snowboarding, and spending time with family and friends. Bradley will be lovingly remembered by his parents: Debbie Lawrence of Tiverton and Glenn Lawrence of Johnston and their partners, Alan Charette and Pauline Lawrence; his two brothers: Richard Quintal, his wife, Melissa, and their children, Judah and Annabelle, of Portsmouth; Brandon Lawrence and his wife, Eryn, of Richmond Hill, GA; his grandparents: Mrs. Barbara Bauchspies of Portsmouth and Mrs. Ann Lawrence of Hope Valley; and many other loving family members. He is predeceased by his grandparents: COL Richard E. Bauchspies, US Army Retired, Mr. Robert Lawrence, and Mrs. Joan Lawrence, as well as many great aunts and uncles, and too many friends.Calling hours will be from 4:00-8:00 pm on Friday May 19, 2017 at Connor's Funeral Home in Portsmouth. A celebration of Bradley's life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday May 20, 2017at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Tiverton.Please make donations in Bradley's name to Project Purple at The Herren Project, PO Box 131, Portsmouth, RI 02871.
