Waterford, - Bruce Alan Johnson, 44, of Great Neck Road, Waterford, CT, died Monday, December 27, 2004, at the William Backus Hospital, Norwich, CT. Born in Newport, RI, on December 29, 1959, he was the son of the late Ross and Ann Jenkins Johnson. Bruce?s love, were his family, co-workers, animals, and the Minnesota Vikings. Mr. Johnson was a professional JaiAlai player for 6 years in Ft. Pierce, FL and Newport, RI. He was employed at the Foxwoods Race Book for 13 years. He is survived by his son Frank Johnson, his daughter Samantha Johnson, his brother Paul Johnson and his wife Melanie all of Waterford, CT, two sisters JoAnn Johnson and her hsuband Gary of Middletown, RI, and Susan Pentecost and her husband Ron of Lakewood, CA, his sister-in-law Karen Johnson of Jensen Beach, FL, five nieces and three nephews.He was the brother of the late Marshall Kevin Johnson. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2005, at 7:00 PM in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
