Carole Anderson

Carole (Majure) Anderson of Bristol, RI., passed on July 30th, 2025 at 87.

Born November 11, 1937, in Galveston, TX, Carole attended Lamar High School in Houston and received her BA from the University of Texas in Austin. Preceded in death by parents Ray M. and Catherine (Anderson) Majure, and sister and brother-in-law Mary Catherine and Bill Rylander.

Carole was committed to justice, kindness, and fairness for all people. She was active in the Civil Rights movement in the 1950's and 60's and in other causes throughout her life. Carole made people feel seen and heard, and offered genuine care and compassion. She believed in humor as an elixir for life's challenges; her booming laughter will forever resonate in our hearts.

Survived by husband Zane J. Anderson, theirs was a long marriage full of love, laughter, and adventure. Also survived by her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and dear friends. She is deeply missed.
