Caroline Greer Murray

Portsmouth, RI - Caroline Greer Murray, 95, died Saturday, December 10, at Aquidneck Place in Portsmouth, RI.Born in Wilmington, DE, she was a daughter of the late William Andrews and Elizabeth Wilson Murphey and the wife of the late Francis B. Murray.Mrs. Murray grew up and raised her family in Rockville Centre, NY, and moved to Portsmouth after her husband retired. She was an avid golfer and bridge player and was loved by the many friends she made everywhere she went.She is survived by her daughters Judith Knowles of Middletown, RI; Caroline Greer Nolan of Key West, FL; and Frances McArthur of Orient, NY; a son, Joseph Murray of Fort Bragg, CA; eight grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.A memorial service will be held at St. Columbas Chapel in Middletown, RI, on January 14th at 11 AM.
