Charlie Raposa

Charles A. Raposa, Jr. 70, of Swansea, Massachusetts, died on February 16, 2024. Born in Newport, RI on September 14, 1953, He was the son of the late Charles and Eileen (Silvia) Raposa.

Charlie grew up in Portsmouth and began work as a welder as a young man. He worked for several different companies, both in RI and Florida, before retiring from Electric Boat. Charlie loved NASCAR and keeping up with the Red Sox, and the friends he made at Scotty's Big Dawgs in Middletown.

Charles is survived by his son Christopher Pettigrew and his wife Naomi of Warwick, RI and granddaughter Norah Pettigrew, his sister Charlene Viera and her husband Arthur of Swansea, MA, and brother Edward Raposa and his wife Cherie of Portsmouth.

Charles is preceded in death by a son Charlie Chaves and his parents.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth.
