Charlotte Irene Mccarthy

Charlotte "Angel" McCarthy, 42, of Tiverton passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at home in Tiverton. She was the wife of James J. McCarthy. Charlotte was born in Charleston, SC, daughter of Charles Nabors and Susan Rae (Hunt) Salmond of Baltimore, MDCharlotte was stationed in Sicily and Okinawa in her earlier years prior to moving to Maryland.She and Jim were married in 1996 and lived in La Ceiba, Honduras, and moved to Middletown in 1997. She was a troop leader for the Girl Scouts, Troup 935. She worked at BJ's and then Re-bath until 2010. Charlotte loved swimming, hiking and spending time with her family.Besides her husband and parents she leaves her children Katlin Anne McCarthy and her partner Justin Roderick, Christian Drake McCarthy, Nadia Jamie-Raene McCarthy, Aidan Salmond McCarthy all of Tiverton, and step-children James Joseph McCarthy of Pensacola, FL, Allison Christina McCarthy of Odenton, MD, and Daniel Christopher McCarthy of Dallas, TX. She was also the sister of Christina Louise Salmond of Baltimore, MD and Matthew Douglas Salmond of Assonet, MA, as well as grandmother of Meghan Leah McCarthy, Elena Noelle McCarthy, James Michael McCarthy, Mila Ilesha Ridaught, Mya Isabelle Ridaught and Marli Iva Ridaught and aunt to Maggie Ann Salmond, Julia Rose Salmond and Charley Lynn Salmond, Cristina Nicole Jackson and Julian Phillip Jackson.Charlotte was preceded in death by her step-son Michael Anthony McCarthy.Calling hour will be held Friday, September 2, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00PM in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871A funeral service will be celebrated Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 11:00AM in the Calvary United Methodist Church, 200 Turner Road, Middletown, RI.
