Christine M. Dunbar

Christine M. Dunbar,73, a lifelong resident of Prudence Island passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Newport Hospital. Christine was born in Providence and was the daughter of the late Edgar J. and Eleanor (Rice) Dunbar. Christine worked as a medical office manager for physicians in Warwick, Newport and New Bedford. She was a member of the Prudence Island Volunteer Fire Department.Christine will be missed by many as she leaves her sisters Prudence E. Bains of Delray Beach, FL, and Patricia Rossi of Prudence Island as well as her cousin, Linda Rice Mosher of Prudence Island. Christine was a great and loving aunt to Eric Ellsworth of Bristol, Tracey Pedersen of Portsmouth, Michael Rossi and Ethan Rossi both of Prudence Island.Calling hours will be held Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00PM and 6:00 to 8:00PM in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.Her memorial service will be Friday, September 15, 2017 at 11:30AM in the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Prudence Island Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 305, Prudence Island, RI 02872.
