Cole Livingston Adams, 90, of Portsmouth died on Friday, April 28, 2017, at Newport Hospital.He was the husband of the late Gilda (Carvalho) Adams and the late Esther Mudd.Born on July 15, 1926, in Clover, SC, he was the son of the late Joseph Columbus and the late Ethel (Hipp) Adams. Mr. Adams served in the United States Navy. He was a cable splicing tech for the telephone company for 34 years, retiring in 1986. Mr. Adams was a communicant of St. Barnaba's Church. He is survived by his daughters, Colleen Dopart (Stephen) and Noreen Bahnsen (Ronald) of Portsmouth, RI, and Nancy Long of Lincolnton, NC, his grandchildren, Kerri Lynn Dopart, Ronald Cooper Bahnsen, Jr., Kara Ashley Dopart and Ryan Cole Bahnsen, and his great grandchildren, Jillian Bahnsen and Jacob Peterson.He was predeceased by all of his siblings.Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, from 4:00-7:00pm, in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.His funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at 9:00am, from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at 10:00am, in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.
