IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Danielle
Ray
March 31, 1981 – March 9, 2026
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Danielle Ray, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who left us on March 9, 2026, at the age of 44 after a most courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 31, 1981, Danielle lived a life filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of family.
From a young age, Danielle knew that she would marry her high school sweetheart, Kyle, who she often described as the absolute love of her life. Their marriage of 23 years was a testament to their devotion to each other, sharing countless simple date nights filled with joy and laughter. Together, they created a nurturing home for their children: Chloe, Rylee, and Brady, who were the pride and joy of her life. As a grandmother, Danielle cherished her role as "Nannie," taking immense delight in her grandkids, Stephen and Aliyah, and creating beautiful memories that they would treasure forever.
Danielle had a profound appreciation for nature, frequently finding solace in walks on the beach, where the gentle sound of the waves mirrored the warm spirit she carried within her. Her fondness for highland cows and the sight of dragonflies brought her comfort, as they reminded her of the loved ones who had passed. At home, she found joy in the company of her beloved pets, Theodore Lindsay, her cat, and Luna Cheyanne, her dog.
Danielle's heart was also filled with love for her extended family and close friends. She leaves behind her devoted spouse Kyle, her cherished daughter Chloe, her loved sons Rylee and Brady, her mother Kathleen, her treasured brother Stephen, and her dear sister-in-law Angela and husband, Leroy. She is also remembered fondly by her nieces and nephews, who knew her as a caring and supportive force in their lives.
Danielle's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her legacy of love will continue to inspire those who carry her memory forward.
Calling Hours for Danielle will take place at Memorial Funeral Home found at 375 Broadway, Newport, RI, on Friday, March 13 from 5:00-8:00pm. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life, share stories, and honor the remarkable woman she was. In this time of loss, we hold one another close, reflecting on the incredible impact Danielle had on our lives.
Rest in peace, dear Danielle. Your light will forever shine in our hearts.
