David James Cantagallo

David James Cantagallo, age 34, of Newport died Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Newport Hospital. David was born July 14, 1983 in Providence, RI, the son of Carole L. (Sasso) Cantagallo and his father David L. Cantagallo. He had been getting his life together and this came as a complete shock to everyone. David was extremely tech savvy, he loved working on computers and building them too. He was a proud cat daddy, and loved his two cats Shatter and Rocket. He was so happy to be back in Newport his home town and he started to reconnect with his old friends. David was the kind of guy that you would only sit next to if there were no other seats on the bus. Soon after talking to him you realize he is quite pleasant and very knowledgeable on many subjects. He leaves behind his Grandmother Yvonne Johnson and the late John A. Sasso. Besides his parents, he is survived by his brother, Adrian S. Vazquez of Newport, RI, his uncle John A. Sasso, and his aunts, Robyn Carosi, and Julie Cardoso and her husband John, and his cousins, Ryan Vasquez, Jose Vasquez, Johnny Cardoso and many more. On David's fathers side he is survived by his uncles Everett, Stephen, and Jeffery Cantagallo and many cousins. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018, from 2:00-4:00pm, in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
