Dolores Raposo

Dolores Raposo, age 88, of Middletown passed peacefully and with courage Monday, May 21, 2018 at Royal Middletown Nursing Center of Middletown, RI surrounded by family, friends and staff of Royal Middletown and Forest Farms Assisted Living. Dolores family will forever be grateful for the loving and attentive care she received there.Dolores, also known as, Mom, Vov and Titia was born September 7, 1929, in Fall River, MA, to the late John and the late Lucy (Mello) Mello. Dolores will be remembered for her bright smile, caring heart, and selfless love. She had a positive and infectious zest for life that she shared with everyone and everything. Dolores loved people, children, and animals. She believed that every occasion called for a family meal, lovingly prepared by her. Heaven for Dolores will have endless Bingo and nickel slot machines.She is survived by her daughter Catherine Carr and her husband Timothy of Portsmouth, her son Arthur Raposo Jr. and his wife Donna of New York, her sister Janice Cabral and her husband Tom of Riverside, and two grandchildren, Andrew Loughlin and his wife Erin of Tiverton, and Alisa Loughlin of Portsmouth. She is predeceased by her husband Arthur Raposo, and her sister Mae.A Christian Mass will be held on Monday, May, 28, 2018 at 10:00AM, in the St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.
