Donald Charles Quinn

Donald Charles Quinn, 86, of Vero Beach, FL and Tiverton, RI died Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River, MA. He was the husband of Joan P. (Cash) Quinn.Born on October 11, 1930 in Leominster, MA, he was the son of the late Raymond Quinn and Mildred (Lawrence) Meoli and the stepson of the late John Meoli.Donny grew up in Leominster, MA and was a career US Navy veteran, retiring as Senior Chief Yeoman. His service spanned 26 years including the Vietnam War, and he served on USS Forrestal. His career took him to the Panama Canal Zone, Norfolk, Heidelberg, West Germany, and concluding in Newport, RI. After retiring from active duty, Don worked for the VA. Mr. Quinn was an avid golfer he played many rounds at Swansea Country Club and was a loyal New England Patriots fan.Besides his wife of 64 years, he is survived by his son Gary Quinn and his wife Cheryl Quinn of St. Cloud, FL, his step daughter Sheila Lawrence of Leominster, MA, his daughter in law Linda Quinn of Sweckinsville, PA his grandchildren, Patricia and Jennifer Quinn, Shawn and Matthew Quinn, and his two great grandchildren, Dylan Quinn and Kaylee Quinn.He was the father of the late Lawrence Quinn and brother of the late Raymond Quinn.Funeral services are private.
