Donald Joseph Leblanc

Newport, - Donald Joseph LeBlanc, 59, of 81 Ocean Avenue Newport, died Monday, September 23, 2002 at home. Born in Providence, RI on August 14, 1943, he was the son of the late Joseph Henry and Alice McGuire LeBlanc.Mr. LeBlanc received a Masters in Holistic Counseling in 1992 from Salve Regina University and a Master?s in Theology from St. Bernards College in Rochester, NY. He had worked at Salve Regina Univeristy since 1989 as a maintenance worker. Mr. LeBlanc was a religious educator at St. Barnabas Church in Portsmouth and at St. Lukes Church in Barrington. He was a member of St. Lucys Church in Middletown and had also taught Adult Religious Education classes as well. He is survived by his son Brendon M LeBlanc of Raleigh, NC, his daughter Kara LeBlanc of Warwick, RI, and his sister Carol Garrett of Daytona Beach, FL.He was the brother of the late Joseph LeBlanc. His funeral will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2002, at 8:00 AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00 AM in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown. Burial will be in Gate Of Heaven in East Providence.
