Doris C. Dennis

Doris C. Dennis, 77, of Bristol, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016 at St. Elizabeths Manor of Bristol, RI. She was the wife of Harold A. Dennis.Born in Yonkers, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frank H. and Helen (Kaznowitz) Cranwell.Doris was a graduate of Blessed Sacrament Academy and Gorton High School in Yonkers, NY, Roger Williams University with a BA Degree and Master's in Business from Ave Maria University. She retired from State Street Banking Investments Division.Doris was a member of the Friendship Force and travelled to both Russia and Australia staying with host families and learning more of the culture of each of these countries. She and Harold also took many cruises including travelling to Hawaii and throughout Europe. Travel, gardening and learning were her passions.Besides her husband of 21 years, she is survived by her children, Barbara Brown of Margo, FL,Gregory Brown of Tempe, AZ, Glen Brown of Tiverton, RI, and Vanessa White of Warren, RI, her siblings, Frank Cranwell of Fishkill, NY, Jacqueline Cranwell of Warren, RI and Barbara Hughes of Clearwater, FL as well as seven grandchildren.She was the sister of the late James Cranwell, Thomas Cranwell and Joan Brito.A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 10:00AM in St. Anthony's Church, 2836 East Main Road.
