Newport, RI - Doris R. Dubeau Nobert, 83, of 33 Earl Avenue Newport, died Saturday, December 6, 2003 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.She was the wife of Leo J. Nobert of sixty-three years. Born in Lowell, MA on May 17, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Domina Dubeau and Anna Derosiers Dubeau. Mrs. Nobert moved to Newport in 1941. She was a communicant of St. Augustins Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She retired from Newport Hospital as a Pharmacy Aide, and previously worked at the General Electric Monowat plant and the Torpedo station. Mrs. Nobert was a skilled cook and an avid knitter, but she will be remembered most for her unwavering faith in God and the Blessed Mother, her devotion to her family and friends and a spirit of generosity that excluded no one. Besides her husband of sixty-three years she is survived by her daughter Nancy E. Nobert of Rockville, RI, her son Richard G. Nobert of Portsmouth, RI, her sister Lucienne ?Pete? Guerin of Dracut, MA, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Nobert was the sister of the late Blanche Pelletier, Yvonne Boule, Jeanette Fournier and Charles Dubeau. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2003 at 10:00 AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 AM in St. Augustins Church, Carroll Avenue, Newport.Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.Donations in her memory may be made to The Central Association of the Miraculous Medal 475 E.
