Dorothy T Sprague

Mrs. Dorothy Sprague, age 94, of Newport, Rhode Island, passed away on December 24, 2018 in Chesaning, MI.

Dorothy was born in Fall River, MA to Daniel Caron and Emily (Oliver) Caron. Dorothy was the wife of the late Robert Sprague of Newport.

Dorothy is survived by her grandchildren Kevin Paul and his wife Tammy of Jacksonville, FL, Bernard Butch Paul of Burton, MI, and Brian Paul and his wife Danafaye of Vassar, MI, six great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces and nephews in Newport. She was preceded in death by her daughter Judith A. Paul, her siblings Daniel Caron, Francis Caron, Alice Loftus and Evelyn Cox.



Mrs. Sprague retired after 33 years at the GE Monowatt plant in Newport. In retirement, she was a volunteer at Newport Hospital for nine years. She lived in Michigan over the last 8 years after her daughters passing.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 30, from 5:00pm-8:00pm at the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.

Funeral services for will be held on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 8:30am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Josephs Church. Burial will follow at Newport Memorial Park, Middletown.
