Edith H. Demauro

Middletown, RI - Edith Haslam DeMauro, 95, of Blenheim Newport, Middletown, RI, formerly of 269 Spring Street, Newport, died Friday, July 10, 2009 at home.She was the wife of the late Samuel Raymond DeMauro. Born in Fall River, MA on February 18, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Emily Chapman Haslam.Edith attended Emmanuel Church and United Congregational Church. She is survived by her niece Christine C. Haslam Remillard and her husband Mike of Tiverton, RI. She was the sister of the late John and Robert Haslam, and Alice Haslam Bennett.Calling Hours will be held on Monday, July 13, 2009, from 5:00-7:00pm in the Memorial Funeral Home 375 Broadway, Newport.A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at 11:00am in Trinity Cemetery, 367 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.Donations in her memory may be made to Blenheim Newport, Activity Fund, 303 Valley Road, Middletown, RI 02842.
