Edward C. Cassese

Edward Charles Cassese, 76, of Hoppin Road, Newport, RI passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Newport Hospital. Born on March 17, 1940 in Newport, RI, he was the son of the late Emidio Charles and Antoinette (Pepe) Cassese. Mr. Cassese was a graduate of Rogers High School. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and his Master's Degree in Physics from Providence College. Edward also attended Boston working toward his Ph.D where he was also a teacher and instructor. He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Newport and was an avid reader, and sports enthusiast.He is survived by his brother, Gerald R.
