Elaine L. Jolley

Elaine Lucille (Standish) Jolley, beloved daughter of John C. Myles Standish, CDR, Ret and Lucille Morse Standish, died on December 22, 2025. Elaine was born on August 31, 1950, and graduated from Middletown High School as part of the Class of 1968.

Elaine was an avid painter who found joy in walks through Newport and cherished time with her grand pups, Maxwell and Lulu. She dedicated many years as a volunteer at the Middletown Public Library and Newport Hospital, touching countless lives with her kindness, humor, and generosity.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Steven and Myles, and is survived by her son, John-Carlyle "J.C" Standish, and his husband, Mark Connolly, of New York City.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 27th, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI. A private burial will take place at a later date.

Elaine's warmth and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her
