Eleanor M. Dube

Dube, Eleanor M, 55, of Dunedin, FL, formerly of Newport, passed away on April 19, 2009. She is survived by a son, Marc Dube of Newport, a sister, Lynda Correia of Tampa, FL and nephews Christopher Correia of Watertown, MA and Kyle Correia of Newport. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Gertrude Correia, and her beloved brother George W. Correia. Eleanor had a deep love for family and friends with whom she loved to laugh. She also had a special affection for her pets over the years. A favorite pastime was reading and she was always looking for a new book, magazine, or newspaper to enjoy. She was passionate about music both as a listener and as a musician. She played the oboe, drums, and guitar as well as having a wonderful singing voice. She enjoyed gardening and was particularly proud of an award she won in the Newport in Bloom event. She was well known for her cooking skills whether it be for family and friends or in a professional capacity as a sous chef. Eleanor loved living in Dunedin and often attendedcommunity events. An avid baseball fan, she was a season ticket holder for the Dunedin Blue Jays and rarely missed a game.A celebration of her life will be held at Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 6:00 PM.Donations in her memory may be made to the Robert Potter Animal League, P.O.
