Elizabeth Louise Mcmillian

Newport, - Elizabeth ?Louise? McMillan, 103, of 296 Tuckerman Avenue, Middletown, RI died at the Village House Nursing Home on September 20, 2002.She was the wife of the late William Andrew McMillan. Born in Newport, RI on September 20, 1899, she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Harriman Seibold.Mrs. McMillan was a life long resident of Aquidneck Island. She was a communicant of Emmanuel Church for her entire life. Mrs. McMillan graduated from Rogers High School in 1917. After graduating from high school, she began work at the New England Steamship Company as the executive secretary to the president, a position that she held for 17 years. In 1946, after giving birth to her two daughters, she returned to work at Harlows Dairy and then the Newport Creamery. Within the next few years she began work as the office manager for the D.J. Sullivan Oil Company, a position that she held for twenty years before retiring at the age of 74. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Audrey E. Rearick of Middletown, RI and Mrs. Louise Vasrgas of Springfield, MA, five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Mrs. McMillan was also the sister of the late George Seibold and the late Ralph Seibold. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 23, 2002, at 11:00 AM in Emmanuel Church, 40 Dearborn Street, Newport.
