Elsie D. Mills

Milford, MA - Elsie Domingoes Mills, 84, of 27 Walker Avenue Extension, Milford, MA, formerly of 46 Norseman Drive, Portsmouth, died Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Milford Hospital. She was the wife of the late Russell Joseph Mills. Born in Newport, RI on July 10, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Theresa Nunes Domingoes. Mrs. Mills was born and raised in Newport. She worked for the former GE Monowatt for a number of years. Mrs. Mills met her husband at the USO. She was a CNA at Forest Farm and also worked as a supervisor at the Maher Center where she received numerous recognitions for her work at the Maher Center, NUSC and NWAC. Mr. and Mrs. Mills were members of the Town Holwers Square Dance Club. She is survived by her son David Bryant Mills of Palo Alto, CA, her daughter Debora Ann Herlihy of Milford, MA, her grandchildren Theresa Carlos of San Francisco, CA., Trevor Herlihy of Milford, MA, and Mary Novicky of Cleveland, OH. She was the sister of the late Frank Domingoes and Theresa Gulko. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, February 23, at 8:00 am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in St. Marys Church, Spring Street, Newport. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery in Portsmouth.Calling hours are omitted.
