Esther E. Chace

Portsmouth, - Esther E. Potter Chace, 84, of 1 Carrol Terrace Portsmouth, died Monday, September 16, 2002 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI.She was the wife of the late Perry F. Chace. Born in Newport, RI on April 5, 1918, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Elizabeth Clarke Potter.Mrs. Chace was a member of the St. Pauls Womens Group. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She is survived by two sons Perry F. Chace Jr. of Tiverton, RI, and Ronald L. Chace of Portsmouth, RI, her daughter Linda Frezza of Portsmouth, RI, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.She was the mother of the late Larry L. Chace, and the sister of the late William H. Potter Jr., Alfred N. Potter, Eva Potter, Laura Potter and Elizabeth F. Hackett. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2002, at 11:00 AM in St. Pauls Episcopal Church, 2679 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Portsmouth Cemetery in Portsmouth.
