Florence A. Machado

Newport, RI - Florence Machado, 68, of Newport, RI, died Friday, April 22, 2011. Born in Fall River, MA, on July 13, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Manuel Machado and Rose Curt Machado.Florence enjoyed bingo, arts crafts, loved to color and spent time knitting and crocheting. She also participated in numerous other activities at the Senior Center. She is survived by her sister, Sheila Levada and her husband Richard of Portsmouth, RI, her brother David Machado of Newport, RI, her brother Robert Machado of Newport, RI, her niece Monique Levada-Calhoun and her husband Dawayne of Middletown, RI, her niece Bethany Cottrell and her husband Anthony of Portsmouth, RI great nephew AJ Cottrell of Portsmouth, RI, great nephew DaVon Calhoun of Middletown, RI, and great niece Isabelle Cottrell of Portsmouth, RI. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011, at 4:00pm, at the Senior Center, 1 Park Holm, Newport, RI.Memorial donations may be made to the Newport Housing Authority Food Bank, 120 Hillside Avenue, Newport, RI 02840.
