Florence Ann Cyr (Wagner) - beloved mother, sister, and wife - passed away on the morning of July 25, 2025, at the age of 65.
She is survived by her loving sons, Roger, Michael, and Joseph; her grandchildren Addison, Isla, Memphis, Wyatt, Tommy, and Isabelle; her brother John; sister-in-law Miriam; and her nieces Jennifer, Christina, and Kathleen; daughters-in-law Tarah and Katie; great niece Emmie and her mother-in-law, Terry.
Her brother John shared the love he had for his dear sister:
"There will never be a more remarkable person in life than my sister. I am grateful for all the things she did for me as a kid - including sneaking me out of school to see my Mets on Opening Day. Thank you, sister. You will always be in my heart."
Flo spent her time in Middletown raising her three sons and watching them play the sport they loved most - baseball. She was ever-present in the Middletown recreational baseball leagues, from tee-ball all the way through high school baseball. There was never a game where she didn't have a Dunkin' Donuts coffee in hand, cheering and supporting her sons and their teams.
Flo never shied away from her love for the Yankees and the Giants, even while surrounded by a sea of Red Sox and Patriots fans. She loved reminding her kids that the Yankees' 27 rings far outshone what the Sox had accomplished - even if they did reverse the curse.
Her love for life, her home-cooked meals, and her gift for bringing people together will be greatly missed.
Flo's memorial service will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI 02840.
