Frank R. "Dutch" Strawbridge

Frank R. "Dutch" Strawbridge, 84, of Newport, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Rhode Island Hospital.Born on May 28, 1931 in Lowell, MA he was the son of the late Raymond and Ruth (Roberts) Strawbridge. After graduating from Winchester High School, Class of '48, Dutch served in the U.S. Army and then graduated from Rhode Island School of Design.Throughout much of his life, he was a well-known and respected interior designer. With his partner of 40 years, Philip Wentzell, Dutch owned Swint Interior Designs of Little Compton.Dutch is survived by his brother Mark Strawbridge of Houston, Texas, his sister-in-law Eleanor Strawbridge of Rochester, NH and hiis beloved cat, Grace and many other relatives and friends.
