Known by many names; Rick, Fred, Uncle Rip, Clark, CC succumbed reluctantly though peacefully to pancreatic cancer Tuesday Jan 30th, at the hospice home in Providence RI. His sister was grateful to be with him. He would have been 65 the end of March.He is survived by Ethel (Henrietta) MacStubbs, sister from Francestown, NH, older brother R. Bruce MacAdam and wife Kochava Duchenes of Hartford, VT, his son Eliot M. Benoit of Canaan, NH, sister-in-law Holly H. MacAdam of York, ME, brother-in-law Gary R. Stubbs of Calais, VT, niece in NH, three nephews from VT, MA and AZ, two great nieces and four great nephews.He grew up primarily in Francestown NH, with some time in Andover, MA andNew Canaan, Conn. He attended Gould Academy Bethel, ME, Conval High School in Peterborough, NH and received his BA from Harvard Night School. He saw himself as a financial consultant, spent time in DC and NYC concentrating on that realm. He moved to Newport around 2000, bought a boat which he lived on for a few years until it sank. He had an interesting life, tenacious to the end. He and we all made peace with a lot of things these last few months.
