Gary F. Greene

Gary F. Greene, age 63, of Newport died Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Newport Hospital. Gary was born January 9, 1954 in Layton, UT. He is the son of the late William Edwin and the late Beverly (Hawkes) Greene. Gary was an avid musician; he loved playing harmonica, guitar, ukulele, mandolin, and keyboard. A lifelong learner, Gary holds eight degrees in a broad spectrum of fields from veterinary science to religion. His most recent occupation was a reverend, he served the Lord's message to many friends.In addition to his parents Gary is predeceased by his aunt Jeannine Vaillancourt.He is survived by his cousin, Nancy Kehew Vaillancourt of Portsmouth, RI.Calling hours will be Tuesday, August 29 from 4:00-7:00pm at Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, August 30 at 10:00am at St. Josephs Church, Broadway, Newport, RI.
